Core Cutting Saw

The Core Cutting Saw (CT-PREP-CUT) is a benchtop saw with a 350 mm (14 in) diamond-impregnated radial blade for cutting core samples in half and trimming rock samples before plugging, end-facing or testing. It cuts to a depth of 100 mm (4 in) and takes core up to 300 mm long. It sits in the core cutting group with the slabbing saws, trim saw and plugging machines.

How it works

The sample is held on the saw table and fed into the rotating blade; feed and cut depth are the controlled variables. Cutting is wet, with water or oil as coolant. The 3 hp motor runs on 220 V, 50 or 60 Hz. The unit weighs 82 kg and measures 1,120 x 620 x 710 mm.
