Interfacial tension

Interfacial tension controls capillary trapping and the effectiveness of surfactant and gas flooding. The Coretest HPHT Interfacial Tension Meter measures tension between oil, brine, and gas at reservoir pressure and temperature, often by the pendant drop method. Low IFT data support EOR and miscibility studies.
