Glass Fluid Transfer Vessel
The Glass Fluid Transfer Vessel (CT-FS-FTVG) is a 1,500 cc transparent vessel for loading floating piston and other high-pressure high-temperature accumulators with test fluid before a coreflood or PVT run. Because the body is glass, the operator watches the liquid level as fluid is pushed across, and the transferred volume is read from that level.
How it works
The vessel is filled with brine, oil, mud, drilling fluid or an acid mixture and connected to the accumulator fill line. A transfer pressure of up to 100 psi is applied to the vessel and pushes the fluid into the accumulator; transfer pressure is the controlled variable and transferred volume, read visually, is the measured one. The 100 psi rating means the vessel is a loading vessel, not a pressure vessel for test conditions.
Volume, pressure and temperature ratings, wetted materials, seals and instrumentation are configured per project. A stainless steel transfer vessel is listed in the same fluid storage group for duties beyond the glass rating.
What is included
- Glass vessel body, 1,500 cc, maximum pressure 100 psi
- Seals, fittings and instrumentation: per project datasheet
Specify for your project
- Fluids to be transferred (brine, oil, mud, drilling fluid, acid mixture) for seal and fitting compatibility
- Transfer pressure within 100 psi and the pressure source
- Volume: 1,500 cc standard, other per project
- Accumulator or system connection the vessel feeds
- Volume readout requirements (visual level)
