Aging Cell

The Aging Cell LEACA700 restores the wettability of a core sample before special core analysis (SCAL) studies. The core is held at pressure and temperature for an aging period so that it can return toward its native wetting state before further tests. The standard version houses a single core chamber.

How it works

The core is loaded in the stainless steel chamber, where confining and pore pressure are applied up to 10,000 psi and the cell is brought to the aging temperature, up to 150 °C. Fluid flow through the core is rated up to 10 ml/min. Aging pressure, temperature and time are the controlled variables. The duration follows the laboratory's own aging procedure.

The cell accepts cores 1 or 1.5 inches in diameter and up to 6 inches long. Utilities are a nitrogen supply at 2,000 psi and 220 VAC, 50 Hz power.
