Calibrated Permeability Check Plugs

Calibrated Permeability Check Plugs CT-GP-CHECK are stainless steel reference plugs of known gas permeability, used to verify and test the calibration of gas permeameters. A plug is measured in the permeameter exactly as a core sample would be and the result is compared with the reference permeability value assigned to that plug. The plugs are made in the diameters of standard core plugs and full-diameter cores and are offered in four model groups.

How it works

The check plug is loaded into the permeameter core holder, the gas flow measurement is run, and the calculated permeability is compared with the reference value. Running a set of five plugs covers the working range of the instrument, so drift or a fault anywhere in the measurement is seen before it reaches sample data. Four model groups span 5 µd to 1100 md: plug-sized sets and single plugs 1.0 in long in 1.0 in, 1.5 in or 30 mm diameter, and a full-sized set 2.0 in long in 4.0 in diameter.
