Midscale Stirred Pressure Reactor with Flat Cover Head

The Midscale Stirred Pressure Reactor with Flat Cover Head (LEMSPRFCH) is a magnetically driven stirred batch reactor for laboratory and pilot work, 10 to 500 L nominal. The flat cover top head is joined to the shell end flange with high-strength bolts; the bottom head is ellipsoidal. A flat cover seals well at high pressure and is easy to open and clean. The reactor sits on a floor stand or movable cart.

How it works

A magnetic coupling, low to high torque, drives the agitator and gives a static seal with no leakage. Impellers include propeller, paddle, anchor, spiral, turbine and gas-inducing types. Heating is electric as standard, or thermal oil, steam or far-infrared; an optional spiral coil cools with water. The control panel gives PID temperature control to ±1 °C and displays stirring speed, operation time, and heating voltage and current.

Sizes of 10 to 50 L are rated 100 bar and 350 °C. Sizes of 100 to 500 L are built from -0.1 to 300 bar and 0 to 350 °C to order. The feature summary quotes 300 °C maximum, so each vessel's design temperature is fixed in the project datasheet. Wetted parts are SS304 or SS316, or titanium, nickel, Hastelloy B/C, Monel, zirconium, Inconel or tantalum.
