Burettes/Feeding Funnel
Burettes and feeding funnels (series LEBFF) are reactor accessories for adding gas, liquid or solid reagents to a laboratory pressure reactor. Burettes meter gas or liquid into the reactor under pressure. Feeding funnels allow fast charging of solids and liquids through the reactor head.
How it works
A burette is a graduated vessel connected to the reactor so that a measured volume of liquid or gas can be added while the reactor is at pressure. Volumes run from 10 to 1,000 ml. Glass burettes are supplied with a protective jacket; a full-metal version with a sightglass is offered for higher pressures. The pressure rating depends on the material, which may be glass, stainless steel or Hastelloy.
The feeding funnel mounts on the reactor head; a funnel with an NS 29/32 connection is shown as an example. It allows solids to be charged into a pressurized reactor under an oxygen-free atmosphere. A pressure feed tank with a long sightglass is shown as a related feeding option.
