Hydraulic intensifier LEHI series

  • The LEHI series are utilized to pressurize fluid samples. They are dual chamber cylinders comprising a low pressure (LP) chamber and a high pressure (HP) chamber. The chambers are separated by a dual piston rod. The LP chamber has a greater cross sectional area than that of the HP, therefore a pressurized fluid injection in the LP chamber will result in the multiplication of the fluid pressure inside the HP chamber by a factor equal to the ratio of the two piston cross sectional areas. Consequently, pressures up to 150Kpsi can be achieved by using a commercially available lower pressure (15 Kpsi) pump. The apparatus can be manufactured from Stainless Steel or hastelloy.
