Benchtop Liquid Permeameter

The Benchtop Liquid Permeameter (model CT-RCA-BLP) performs liquid permeability determinations on core plugs at pore pressure in a manually operated benchtop system. It belongs to the routine core analysis range and is intended for laboratories that measure permeability to liquid at ambient temperature with manual control of pressures and flow.

How it works

A core plug of 1 in or 1.5 in diameter and 1 in to 3 in length is loaded in a Hassler-type core holder. Confining pressure up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) is applied to the sleeve, and pore pressure up to 350 bar is set on the flow line. Liquid is passed through the sample while the operator sets pore pressure, liquid flow and differential pressure. Liquid permeability is derived from the measured flow rate and differential pressure across a sample of known dimensions.

The system is specified for nitrogen and water as working fluids. Wetted parts are stainless steel. Tests are run at ambient temperature. Power supply is 110 to 220 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz.
