Mould Test Chamber/Bacteriological Incubator

The Mould Test Chamber / Bacteriological Incubator LEGMT is an alternating humid-heat chamber for bacteria storage, biological cultivation and mildew resistance testing. Specimens are held at a set temperature and relative humidity, then inspected to judge how their parameters and properties changed after exposure. Research departments in medicine, electronics, chemistry and biology use it for materials qualification, packaging evaluation and laboratory microbiology.

How it works

Temperature and humidity are set on a controller with a 7 inch color LCD touch display. Setting and indication resolution is 0.1 °C for temperature and 1 percent RH for humidity. A USB port on the controller allows stored data to be browsed or sent to an optional printer. Humidification uses a shallow groove method. The humidifier is driven by contact-less equal-period pulse-width modulation through a solid state relay, with automatic water level compensation and a water shortage alarm, and humidity is regulated by PID control acting through the same SSR channel.

Cooling comes from a cascade refrigeration system with a compressor, sized for the required cooling rate and lowest temperature. The working range is 20 to 80 °C and 45 to 98 percent RH. Temperature fluctuation is 0.5 °C or less and uniformity 2 °C or less with no load; humidity deviation is +2 / -3 percent RH. Heating rate is 1.0 to 3.0 °C/min and cooling rate 0.7 to 1.2 °C/min.
