The heating test of battery thermal abuse test chamber shall be carried out as follows

    1. Relevant standard test requirements

    • Single battery safety test
    • The heating test is carried out as follows:
    • The single battery is charged according to the method of 6.1.3
    • Put the single battery into the temperature chamber. For lithium-ion batteries, the temperature chamber is increased from room temperature to 130 ° C ± 2 ° C at a rate of 5 ° C / min, and the heating is stopped after maintaining the temperature for 30 minutes.
    • For nickel metal cyanide batteries, the temperature chamber is raised from room temperature to 85 ° C ± 2 ° C at a rate of 5 ° C / min, and the heating is stopped after maintaining this temperature for 2h.
    • Observe for 1h.

    2.Battery module safety test

    • The battery module battery shall be charged according to the method in 6.1.4.
    • For lithium-ion batteries, the temperature chamber is raised from room temperature to 130 ° C ± 2 ° C at a rate of 5 ° C / min, and the heating is stopped after maintaining this temperature for 30 minutes.
    • For nickel metal cyanide batteries, the temperature chamber is raised to 85 ° C ± 2 ° C at room temperature at a rate of 5 ° C / min, and the heating is stopped after maintaining this temperature for 2h.
    • Observe for 1h.
