PVT 400cc 1000 bar
The Reservoir Fluid PVT Analysis System consists of a PVT instrument set (PVT 400/1000 full visual 400cc) and other ancillary equipment like a gasmeter, HP pressure sample cylinders, and viscometer. It is capable of analyzing various GOR reservoir fluids, such as crude oil, volatile oil, gas condensate, and gas under high-pressure and temperature conditions, providing a comprehensive evaluation of oil and gas reservoirs.
The system conducts hydrocarbon phase behavior studies at pressure and temperature conditions representative of reservoirs. The full visual cell is reliable for black oil, volatile oil, and gas condensate samples and is useful for studies that require visual monitoring, such as tests that require visual monitoring, such as swelling tests, as well as studies on volatile oil and gas condensate. The system includes an embedded high-pressure pump that controls and monitors fluid pressure and volume within the cell.
A single cell is used for both oil and gas condensate studies. For oil studies, the cell is in an upright position, while for gas condensate studies, it is inverted to maximize efficiency in detecting dew points. The cell body contains embedded heating cartridges that ensure homogeneous sample heating. Cell rotation is achieved through a powerful motorized rocking mechanism, and a video camera system continuously monitors the gas/liquid interface and measures the volume of retrograde condensate during gas condensate studies.
The PVT 400/1000 with accessories is designed to perform a complete PVT study on oil and volatile oil GOR < 800 Sm3/m3, which is conducted in four stages, including constant composition expansion (CCE) at a constant temperature, differential vaporization at a constant temperature, separation tests (several stages at different temperatures), and viscosity measurement. It is also designed to perform a complete PVT study on gas condensate with high GOR, which is conducted in two stages, including constant mass depletion (CMD) and constant volume depletion (CVD), and a recombination of separator oil or condensate and separator gas under reservoir conditions. Other analyses that can be conducted include viscosity, density, composition (accessories in option), Z factor determination, dew point determination by IR, and GOR.
