Single Phase sample cylinder LESPS series

  • The LESPS series ensures monophasic petroleum sample transportation, by always maintaining an above bubble point internal pressure. The cylinder makes use of a nitrogen filled chamber to pressurize the sample and compensate for temperature variations. The fluid sample is isolated from the hydraulic driving fluid by a floating piston that, by virtue of its design minimizes friction and reduces pressure load.

    Cylinders are fitted with a single inlet needle valve for the hydraulic driving fluid, a single inlet needle valve for the nitrogen gas cap and a double inlet needle valve for the fluid sample. On the sample side, the piston incorporates a hemispherical groove to accommodate a spherical ball for agitation and optimize the dead volume. An evacuation port nipple and plug enable cylinder evacuation prior to fluid transfer. Valves are protected by end-caps from handling and transportation related damage. A carrying case can be provided to facilitate transportation.
