Floor stand stirred pressure vessel

The floor stand stirred pressure vessel, LEFSV series, is a 50 liter pressure vessel with a magnetically driven stirrer, used to hold, mix and condition hydrocarbon fluid at pressure and temperature in flow assurance rigs. It is a component of the Solid Detection System (SDS), which identifies asphaltene and paraffin particles in a sample under production conditions of pressure, temperature and shear, and it feeds deposition flow loops that study how flow rate, inhibitor concentration, temperature and pressure change solid precipitation and deposition.

How it works

The vessel is rated 3,000 psi and up to 150 °C. Fluid enters and leaves through axial 1 in inlet and outlet ports, other sizes on request, and two lateral ports carry the SDS optical fibers so that solids can be detected in the stirred volume. A heavy-duty magnetic drive turns the stirrer at up to 200 rpm in fluids up to 10,000 cP without a shaft seal through the pressure wall. The vessel stands on its own floor frame and runs from 110-220 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

Two models are offered: LEFSV50-30-S with stainless steel wetted parts, 350 kg, and LEFSV50-30-H with Hastelloy wetted parts, 450 kg. Gaskets are FKM (Viton). Other features can be added to the design at the end user's request.
