  • The LESFESETE3 Series supercritical fluid extraction system is designed for obtaining extracts from various raw materials, such as CO2, biomass, and other materials. By purchasing the LESFESETE3 supercritical extractor, you get a fully prepared and tested installation for your required process. CO2 is typically used as the solvent, but the system can also operate with supercritical water and other substances that meet the required parameters.

    In standard configuration, the supercritical fluid extraction system consists of a 5-liter extraction autoclave with a sapphire window, two 2-liter separators with extract collectors, a CO2 supply pump, an automated shut-off valve, and a LESFESETE3 system control block. Optionally, the system can be equipped with a precision non-pulse pump, a CO2 or other solvent recirculation system, and a co-solvent supply pump. The entire extraction process can be programmed and carried out according to a planned schedule.

    The CO2 recirculation system

    The CO2 recirculation system allows for a significant reduction in CO2 consumption and increases the duration of the supercritical fluid extraction process without interrupting the experiment. The system is equipped with a special coil, controlled valve system, pump, and heater.

    High-pressure actuated valves

    All high-pressure valves are equipped with automated control (electric or pneumatic). Valve control is carried out using special software.

    Separator #1

    Separator #1 with a volume of 2 liters provides pressure drop and extract separation. The separator is equipped with a special extract collector.

    Separator #2

    Separator #2 with a volume of 2 liters is located in the high-pressure line after Separator #1. Separator #2 is equipped with an extract collector. Due to the presence of two separators, the extraction process can be carried out in two stages.

    Extractor vessel

    The 5-liter extractor vessel is installed on a pneumatic lift, which facilitates raw material loading. The vessel is equipped with a special basket for loading raw materials, as well as a drain bottom valve for easy vessel cleaning.

    Solvent delivery pump

    The main solvent delivery pump can be presented as a precision two-plunger pump or a gas booster equipped with a flow meter.

    Gas booster with flowmeter

    CO2 can be supplied to the extractor using a special gas booster. Gas boosters are capable of creating pressures up to 1600 bar. In case of equipping with a gas booster, the system is equipped with an additional air compressor that drives the gas booster.

    Precision pump for CO2 or additional solvent delivery

    A precision pulseless pump with two independent cylinders allows the delivery of solvent and additional solvent with high accuracy (minimum flow rate: 0.0005 ml) at high pressure (up to 1000 bar). Thanks to the presence of two cylinders, high flow rate accuracy and pressure stability are ensured throughout the experiment. The cylinders can work in pairs or independently.

    The system comes with FITOK automated pneumatic/electric valves in the standard configuration. All the hardware is securely mounted on an aluminum frame. All connections have passed factory tests and are completely leak-tight.

  • Sapphire cell Mixing device High-pressure precision pump
    The reactor can be equipped with sapphire windows. These windows allow for visual observation of processes occurring under thermobaric conditions. The reactor vessel can be entirely made of sapphire. A mixing device with a magnetic coupling provides efficient mixing of fluids with different viscosities under conditions of high pressure and temperature. A plunger precision high-pressure pump delivers substances with a maximum pressure of 1000 bar and an accuracy of 0.0005 ml.

    The control unit allows for monitoring and recording of experimental parameters during the reaction process. The control unit can be equipped with either a touchscreen or can output data to a PC. The cooling system is designed for fast and efficient cooling of the reactor contents. The system can be cooled by air, liquid, or a heat transfer fluid. The cooling system is made of materials that are corrosion-resistant in the autoclave's working environment. One of the most common options in medium-sized reactors. The sampling system consists of a dip tube, three shut-off valves, and a sampling cylinder.

    The material container provides convenient loading and easy removal of material from the reactor housing. The size of the cells can be changed upon the customer's request. The container is typically made of mesh material with a 1x1 mm cell. The heating jacket can be mounted directly on the reactor housing. Additionally, the heating element can be installed on a special heat-conducting metal sleeve. The gap between the sleeve and the reactor is minimal. The rotary mechanism is necessary for convenient unloading and loading of materials. Additionally, the rotary mechanism allows for flipping the container 180 degrees.
