Catalytic oxidation are processes that oxidize compounds using catalysts. Common applications involve oxidation of organic compounds by the oxygen in air. One challenge of oxidation is that the most favored reaction between oxygen and hydrocarbons is combustion. Consequently, the safe design and operation of reactor is the key for the both of the manufacture and user.
