Industrial-scale 2507 Duplex SS corrosion-resistant High-pressure reactor.
Duplex stainless steels are extremely corrosion resistant, work hard enable alloys. Duplex stainless steel plate contains relatively high levels of chromium (between 18% and 28%) and low to moderate amounts of nickel (between 1.5% and 8%). Duplex steel reactor is used especially for chloride-containing process fluids and for ammonium carbamate solutions.
Application
Duplex Stainless Steel is very well suited to many industrial processes. The following are some of the environments in which Duplex is fully resistant.
- Chloride-containing solutions;
- Ammonium carbamate solutions;
- Nitric acid and acidic ammonium nitrate solutions.
- Volume: 1000-500000liters.
- Design pressure: maximum up to 200bar
- Design temperature: Up to 300℃
- Material:Duplex SS 2507.

Construction of material(2507)
Duplex 2507, which is a super duplex stainless steel with 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. This alloy is designed for applications which require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance; examples include applications in chemical processing, petrochemical, and seawater equipment. The steel has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity and a low coefficient of thermal expansion.
Corrosion Resistance
- Resistant to uniform corrosion by organic acids like formic and acetic acid.
- Provides excellent resistance to inorganic acids, especially those containing chlorides.
- Can be used in dilute hydrochloric acid.
- Resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking;
- Is highly resistant to carbide-related intergranular corrosion.
- Superior to 2205 in corrosion resistance and strength.
- Highly resistant to crevice corrosion.
Note: When the pressure is large, steel cladding plates could be considered, including base material for strength and clad material for anti-corrosion.
