Sapphire Cell LESETS100 Series

  • The Sapphire Cell LESETS 100 Series is necessary for visual observation of the reaction under thermobaric conditions. In addition to visual observation, the cell allows for experiments related to spectroscopy. Optionally, the installation can be equipped with a special photo/video fixation system.

    The sapphire cell allows for observation of the degassing point of samples. Sapphire cells can be used in experiments on the restoration of reservoir fluids, PVT studies, and other experiments requiring visual observation.

    Sapphire cells can operate at pressures up to 800 bar and temperatures up to 600 °C. In addition to sapphire, cells can be made of borosilicate glass. Optical sapphire is used in our cells and windows, which ensures excellent image quality. The surface of the sapphire can be processed according to the customer's requirements (shape, cleanliness, size).

    Features:

    • The features include the ability to operate at pressures up to 800 bar and temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius. Achieving these parameters is possible thanks to a special sealing system installed on the sapphire cell or sapphire windows.
    • Optical sapphire can provide a high level of transparency. Due to the optical purity of sapphire, experiments with spectroscopy are possible.
    • Heating of the internal environment can be performed via heating elements located on the top and bottom covers of the sapphire cell.

    Wide range of sizes

    Our windows and sapphire cells can come in various sizes and volumes. The blanks can weigh up to 200 kg, and the maximum diameter of the blanks can be around 40 cm. The quality of sapphire allows it to withstand high pressure and temperature.

    Top cover

    The top cover provides sealing of the vessel. A special sealing system allows operation at high pressures and temperatures. The top cover has input/output ports with needle valves for substances.

    Bottom cover

    The bottom cover has a heating element that allows heating of the internal environment of the cell. Like on the top cover, there are input and output ports with needle valves on the base.

    Optical quality

    Our cells provide a high level of transparency, which allows using them in experiments related to spectroscopy.
