Straight Flat Blade Disc Rushton Turbine LESFBDRT

  • High intensity mixing with moderate working gas dispersion is required. It works well in the process of requiring simultaneous suspension of solids. Designed for handling low to medium viscosity.

The standard flat blade disc turbine model is also called rushton turbines, has 6 flat vertical blades. Rushton turbines should not be used for solid-liquid mixing applications because radial flow turbines do not suspend solids to obtain the least power input.

However, in three-phase reactors with high gas duty cycle and solid suspension requirements, gas dispersion requirements are more critical to process success, and Rushton turbines must be used. In this case, the success of the process determines the design of the stirrer, and the power input does not consider factors when determining the best impeller-mixer configuration.
